My family loves this snack!
My son is the one who usually makes this. It’s so simple and easy, he doesn’t need any help. He enjoys rolling the dough into rounds at the end, too.
Because my son has a dairy allergy, we actually use goat milk powder in this recipe. He seems to do a lot better with goat dairy than with cow dairy. You can find the Meyenberg Goat Milk Powder that we use at your local health food store or on amazon.com.
We get our raw honey from our local farmers market. The honey in your grocery store is usually pasteurized, processed, and watered down, not yielding much benefit to your health. So finding a good source for raw honey is important!
Raw honey is chock full of vitamins and enzymes. It has many health benefits, being both anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. Local raw honey has been found to reduce seasonal allergies in people as well.
Remember never to feed honey to an infant under the age of one.
What are your family’s favorite healthy snacks? Please share!
- 1 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1 cup dry milk powder
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- wheat germ, unsweetened shredded coconut, or sesame seeds
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until well blended. Form dough into one inch rounds. If desired, roll balls in wheat germ, unsweetened shredded coconut, or sesame seeds to keep them from sticking to each other. Keep refrigerated. Enjoy!

I am so gonna make these this afternoon! I have everything on hand :) can’t wait to try them.
