I have been sewing this week with the Fat Quarter Shop again! So much fun!
The Fat Quarter Shop is doing a neat series called the “Classic and Vintage Series”. In this series, they take an old classic quilt pattern and make it fresh and new – and much easier to piece together, too! It’s a great series. They worked on the Hunter Star Block this time and they have truly made this block a piece of cake to put together!

The Hunter Star block is a super neat quilt block. Although it looks somewhat simple by itself, once you put it together with other blocks you get an amazing star. The pattern is easy to follow and super easy. Definitely beginner friendly.
I chose to use the lovely new Dorset Collection of fabrics by Laura Ashley. I love the pretty greys, whites, and pops of yellow.
I made a total of twelve blocks to create a table runner. Each block measured 9 1/2″ by 9 1/2″. It ended up being a wonderful sized table runner for my table.
I quilted my Hunter Star table runner with 1/4″ straight line quilting and I love the texture it added.
