My son ran over to me the other day and said, “Mom! Look, you’re just like Lucy!”
He then proceeded to read me this cartoon:
Taken from Peanuts volume 4 by Charles M. Schulz.
Lucy: This program’s boring.
Linus: I find it quite enjoyable myself.
Lucy: I’m going to change it.
Linus: Why should you always get your way? What about the family bond? I’m your little brother, aren’t I? Blood is thicker than water, isn’t it? You love me, don’t you? As Saint Paul wrote in his first epistle to the Corinthians, “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way.”
Lucy: What about wallops?
Linus: Wallops?
*WALLOP!*
Lucy: I notice Saint Paul didn’t say anything about wallops.
And that pretty much sums up everything you need to know about me. <grins>
